March 10, 2011: ShowCase Marketing

ShowCase Marketing (www.createlaunchlead.com) is a full service marketing and communications firm located in Greenville, SC. ShowCase is currently looking for exceptional students who are interested in acquiring an unpaid spring internship. One of the most significant elements of our company’s success is our outstanding intern team, which is made of students who have the drive to learn, lead, and contribute to real client projects.

Because of our continuing growth and the addition of our business magazine, Business Black Box (www.insideblackbox.com), along with our growth to regional and national clients, we have immediate and near future internship opportunities that may lead to employment upon graduation. This opportunity is far from errand-running and coffee making. Our interns are thrown directly into projects, including creative and copy work, and are challenged by real responsibilities and accountability for their work.

We are looking for interns with strong verbal and written communication skills, who will be working with our client management teams, obtaining research for prospective clients, attending client meetings, and working with creative and strategy teams on projects relating to marketing, advertising, public relations, publishing, business development and social media. Intern schedules are flexible. However, we do request that interns commit to a minimum of 8 to 12 hours a week.

In addition, we are looking for interns with accounting backgrounds. These interns will be working directly with our financial manager and will learn valuable career skills. Some of these include the ins and outs of QuickBooks, as well as developing budgets and spreadsheets. Requirements for this position are a basic understanding of Excel and Word, and a good work ethic.

Interviews will be held the last week in March and the first week in April. Interested students should email their resumes to Jennifer Wessinger at Jennifer@showcasenow.com. Our interview sessions typically fill quickly, so please contact us as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Mary Wray Conner
